Gainsborough Old Hall

Today we had lots of fun at Gainsborough Old Hall. When we arrived we sat down to have a snack whilst listening to somebody playing a few tunes on the lute!

We got the chance to dress up - we had different roles including King Henry VIII himself and his groom of the stool!

Once we were all in character we went into the kitchens! Look what we got up to!

Then we went into the bedrooms and found,it's of Tudor games and activities to try

Just before lunch we all took part in a Tudor banquet!!

Even the teachers had fun dressing up!

Before we had to jump back on the bus we were able to climb up to the tower to look over Gainsborough!

Henry VIII

Over the last few weeks we have been learning all about the Tudors and last week and this week we have focused on King Henry VIII. 

We have completed lots of research to find out all about him and have written a character profile giving lots of detail about his appearance, his work, his family and his hobbies!
