As it was the last day of term it was time for golden time and the Golden treat! Everyone took part in Halloween activities!... And got a little bit messy!

Halloween and the Golden Treat
On the last day of term we came to school is non-school uniform and had e opportunity to dress up in fancy dress for Halloween!
Volcano Eruptions
On the last day of term we were able to make our volcanoes explode! We carried out 2 different experiments to see which would explode.
Experiment 1: Coke and mentos
Experiment 2: Bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and food colouring
Lincoln and Millfield classes went outside to see hitch experiment would work the best! After the experiment we came to he conclusion that bicarbonate of soda and vinegar makes he most effective volcano eruption!
Netball competition
We used our attacking and defending skills during the games as well as taking it in turns to practise our leadership skills by umpiring and scoring.
Well done to Asia who won the competition!
Class Gymnastics Competition
It's the end of the term and so we took part in our gymnastics level 1 competition!
The children were working in pairs to come up with their own gymnastics routine. Their routine had to include:
Different levels
Different directions
Different speeds
Good posture
Shapes and travelling
Miss Beanland judged our routines and gave each performance a score out of 10 - just like in the olympics!
Here are the results for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

Mount Vesuvius
Take a look at the beginnings of our volcano models! We have started by wrapping rolls of newspaper around a plastic bottle to create the structure of the volcano. We then used paper mache to make the structure stronger and smoother.
We now need to paint our volcanoes and make them explode!
